Conclusion



As I reflect on my Pedagogical experience II, and the amazing experience I had as a training teacher in online environments, I think it was a meaningful one, in which I learned a lot.
This practice helped me to become a training teacher and strengthen my teaching skills to help students of language courses to improve and their English speaking ability through Google Hangout synchronic sessions.
As a student of bachelor degree in English I think I still have some flaws in the speaking skill, nevertheless, my personal efforts in this practicum gave me the opportunity to improve my learning along with my students. We felt comfortable together and I always tried that they built their knowledge and participated in their learning process as I became an active agent in this process.
Along with this teaching practice, as a training teacher, I had the opportunity to develop my abilities in lesson planning, material design for virtual environments, and English teaching, focused especially on promoting my pupils’ speaking skill through their participation in the weekly sessions.
In addition, I was able to better my performance in the use of the four basic skills, particularly the speaking skill. I learned to understand and produce the language correctly, both written and oral. This experience also served as a tool to build up my self-image, using my technological knowledge to develop my Google Hangout classes. Online teaching shortens the distance and eliminates barriers for students, allowing ab autonomous learning from any part of the country.
I think this can be an extraordinary tool for future online student teachers as they acquire the basic competences of the target language, and use this strategy to benefit themselves and the other students involved in the different levels of the English courses, which will enhance their speaking skill, helping them to be accurate and fluent in the use of the language.
Finally, it will help them to be prepared as future Colombian English teachers having a domain of the target language. Likewise, this practicum will allow them to better their English levels, to become qualified and trustworthy teachers.
